This listing is for a modern reproduction (replica) of the Imperial German Navy Wound Badge in Gold grade. The badge features a chain-link oval border surrounding a central anchor with crossed swords, finished in a bright gold tone. A sturdy pin and catch fastening is fitted on the reverse (see photos). 

History (brief): The Naval Wound Badge was established in 1918 for Imperial German Navy personnel, in the same class system as the Army wound badge. The Gold grade represented the highest class.
