Reproduction pair of Marshal of the Soviet Union shoulder boards, 1943 pattern. Gold brocade with red edging, hand-embroidered Soviet state emblem and red star, mounted over red wool backing. Each board has one large silver marshal star at the bottom, as on wartime/postwar parade and overcoat uniforms of the highest Soviet rank. Excellent for display, collection, reenactment or to complete a Soviet marshal uniform. Replica / non-period / not a government issue. Item as shown in the photos.

In 1943 the USSR reintroduced epaulettes; marshals received gold boards with red edging, USSR emblem and a single large silver star to mark their unique status. This style remained in use in the late Soviet period.
