Honor the legacy of Ukraine’s struggle for independence with this striking Ukrainian Symon Petliura Cross medal. The black enameled cross carries a raised sword down the center and the Ukrainian Tryzub (trident) at the top, symbolizing defense of the nation. It hangs from a bold blue-and-black ribbon with yellow stripes, echoing Ukraine’s national colors and making it stand out beautifully on a uniform or in a display.
This is a modern, high-quality replica designed for collectors, historians and reenactors. The reverse of the cross is neatly numbered “1398”, giving it extra character for cataloging and display. A sturdy pin-back bar on the ribbon allows it to be worn or mounted easily on a tunic, medal bar, or in a frame.

Historical background
Symon Petliura (1879–1926) was a leading statesman and military leader of the Ukrainian People’s Republic (UPR) during the turbulent years 1917–1921. As head of state and commander-in-chief of the UPR Army, he became closely associated with the Ukrainian fight for independence after the collapse of the Russian Empire.
The Cross of Symon Petliura was later instituted by Ukrainian veterans’ organizations to honor soldiers of the UPR Army who took part in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence. Modern commemorative pieces and reproductions like this one help preserve the memory of that era and allow collectors to study the insignia and symbolism of the Ukrainian People’s Republic.
