Replica of the Russian medal “For the Subjugation of Chechnya and Daghestan”, originally instituted under Emperor Alexander II.

Design of the original medal:

• Obverse: Crowned cypher of Alexander II

• Reverse: Inscribed in Russian “For the Subjugation of Chechnya and Daghestan in 1857, 1858, and 1859”

The medal was awarded to Russian soldiers who took part in the campaigns of the Caucasian War during those years.
