The medal "For courage rendered during the capture of Ochakov" was established on April 14, 1789. The medal was awarded to the lower ranks and privates of the Russian army who took part in the assault and capture of the Ochakov fortress on December 6, 1788.

On the front side, in the field of the medal under the imperial crown, there is a large image of the cypher of the name of Empress Catherine II. On both sides of it are placed laurel and palm branches, tied at the bottom with a ribbon.
On the reverse side, in the entire field of the medal, there is a horizontal nine-line inscription: "FOR=COURAGE=DELIVERED=DURING=CAPTURE=OCHAKOV=DECEMBER=6 DAYS=1788".

They wore a medal on the chest on the St. George ribbon, threaded through a ring in the transverse eyelet.
A fantastic part of military history not to be missed at this low listing price. It would be extremely hard to find a much better example than these medals, medals weight a bit.
