Replica of the commemorative medal issued in 1784 by the Riga city council to honor the death of poet and painter Waldemar Dietrich Baron von Budberg, governor of Livonia.

The original design shows the Baron's head facing right with inscriptions along the edge, while the reverse depicts a tomb with a cross and a mourning woman, with the date of death inscribed below. The medal was minted in limited numbers in silver and a few in gold for the funeral ceremonies.
