Replica of the Order of the Taeguk (also known as the Order of the Flag), an order of the Korean Empire awarded in recognition of civil or military merit.
The Second Class Breast Star was issued to distinguished officials and military personnel. The reverse bears Chinese characters indicating the class of the award, together with an inscription meaning “Order of Merit.”
