Imperial Russian Medal – Cross for the Storming of Bazargik 1810 – Replica A164a

  • Material: Brass (modern reproduction)

  • Size: approx. 38 × 35 mm (1.49 × 1.37 in)

  • Weight: approx. 9 g (0.32 oz)

This is a modern replica medal, inspired by the Imperial Russian award cross of 1810, created during the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812). The original decoration commemorated the storming of Bazargik (today Dobrich, in northeastern Bulgaria) on June 13, 1810.

  • The cross was awarded to Russian officers who distinguished themselves in the battle but did not receive higher orders such as the 4th Class of the Order of St. George or the Order of St. Vladimir.

  • Non-commissioned officers and soldiers who took part in the storming received a silver medal.

  • Some additional pieces were later produced by jewelers as a secondary issue.

The design symbolizes valor and recognition within the military tradition of the Russian Empire.

⚠️ Note: This item is a reproduction for collectors, history enthusiasts, reenactors, and educational display purposes only. It is not an original early 19th-century medal.
