Imperial Russian Medal – For Turkish Troops 1833, Nicholas I – Replica A131

  • Material: Brass (modern reproduction)

  • Weight: approx. 13 g (0.46 oz)

  • Diameter: approx. 29 mm (1.14 in)

This is a modern replica medal, inspired by the Imperial Russian “For Turkish Troops” medal established in 1833 under Emperor Nicholas I. The original medals were created to commemorate the cooperation of Russian and Ottoman troops stationed together at Gaukh-Ker-Iskelesi (“Sultan’s Pier”) on the Bosphorus.

  • Original versions:

    • Gold medals (168 issued, 8 decorated with diamonds) were awarded to generals and senior officers.

    • Silver medals (2,265 issued) were awarded to Ottoman privates who took part in the campaign.

The design reflects the close, though temporary, Russo-Turkish military collaboration of 1833.

⚠️ Note: This item is a reproduction for collectors, history enthusiasts, reenactors, and educational display purposes only. It is not an original 19th-century medal.
