German Albert Order Knight 1st Class Medal Replica Civil Division Type II 1850!
This is a replica of the Albert Order (Albrechts-Orden), Knight 1st Class, Civil Division, Type II, a decoration of the former Kingdom of Saxony.
The order was established on December 31, 1850, by King Frederick Augustus II to recognize contributions in science, art, philanthropy, and loyalty, particularly after the 1848 revolutions and the 1849 Dresden Uprising. Named after Duke Albert the Bold, the order reflected Saxony’s royal heritage and tradition of service.

The order included both civil and military divisions and was awarded in several classes. The Knight 1st Class was conferred on officers and distinguished civilians until its discontinuation in 1918 following the fall of the Saxon monarchy.
