Info about the original Medal:

Medal of the Imperial Russian Technical Society in memory of the IV Electrical Exhibition 1891–1892 Germany, empire, Nuremberg. Firm "Lauer" (person. Art. - at the bottom of the circle: LAUER).

Russian Technical Society (since 1874 - "Imperial") - a scientific society founded in 1866 in St. Petersburg, which set itself the task of promoting the development of technology and industry in Russia (closed in 1929). During its existence, the society held four electrical exhibitions (1880. 1882, 1885, 1892).

The 4th electrical exhibition was held in Salt Town in St. Petersburg in the premises of the Russian Technical Society and "in terms of its size and character approached the type of international exhibitions." In addition to electrical machines, Russian steam boilers and steam engines, as well as Russian internal combustion engines, were demonstrated at the exhibition. Particular interest was shown in the use of electricity for the purposes of metalworking and for electrochemical processes, for the first time electric welding, an invention of Russian technicians, was widely demonstrated. Over 50,000 people visited the exhibition during the exhibition, which was an undoubted success for a special technical exhibition.

A fantastic part of military history not to be missed at this low listing price. It would be extremely hard to find a much better example than these medals, medals weight a bit.
