Description
Replica of the Imperial Russian Officer’s Cross “For Bravery During the Capture of Prague”, originally awarded in 1795 under Field Marshal Count Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky.
The original award was presented as a gold cross to headquarters and chief officers who took part in the storming of Prague in 1794. Officers who did not receive the Orders of St. George or St. Vladimir were instead granted this distinction, which was worn in the buttonhole on a ribbon of black and yellow stripes. Recipients also received a reduction of three years in the service time required for eligibility toward higher orders.
This reproduction follows the design of the late 18th century decoration and is suitable for collectors of Imperial Russian military history, historians, and display purposes.
⚠️ Note: This is a replica reproduction for collecting and display only. It is not an original 18th century cross.
