This is a modern replica medal, inspired by the Imperial Russian award cross established in 1810 to commemorate the capture of the Turkish fortress of Bazardzhik during the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812).
The original cross was awarded to officers of General N.M. Kamensky’s corps who distinguished themselves in the battle but did not receive higher orders such as the Order of St. George or the Order of St. Vladimir.
The design reflects early 19th-century Imperial Russian military traditions, highlighting valor and service in campaigns against the Ottoman Empire.
⚠️ Note: This item is a reproduction for collectors, history enthusiasts, reenactors, and educational display purposes only. It is not an original early 19th-century medal.
