History – Württemberg Friedrich Order
The Friedrich Order (Friedrichs-Orden) was a royal order of merit of the Kingdom of Württemberg, founded in the 19th century and awarded through World War I. It recognized distinguished civil and military service to the king and state. During WW1, versions “with Swords” were granted to officers and other ranks for bravery and leadership in the field, often worn alongside Iron Crosses and other imperial decorations.
